Hello perspective students and parents! My name is Christopher, and I am available for all of your mathematical tutoring needs. I am currently a mathematics major at Florida Atlantic University, and my goal is teach math professionally in a classroom setting. How will I help you? I currently use advanced technological software to help a student achieve maximum results in a particular subject. During our initial assessment, this software will help me analyze the student's areas of opportunity and allow us to see which topics we need to focus on during our tutoring sessions. I am also able to use this software to track a student's progress and assign work to follow-up on topics which we have discussed. This method works extremely well for me. I have used this approach to help tutor math students in the math lab at Indian River State College. Employment as a math tutor at Indian River State College allowed me time to fine-tune this method of instruction, and the results spoke for themselves. I believe that integrating technology into learning not only makes learning fun, but it keeps students actively engaged, which improves the quality of the learning environment. Whether you are preparing for the SAT, need help preparing for an exam, or your child is struggling in math; I can help. I have access to a limitless number of questions which will be comparable to what the student should expect in their exams. I believe in a positive and encouraging experience for my students. Building confidence is the key. If a student has achieved confidence in mathematics, he/she will feel capable of anything. Exceptional skill as a mathematician allowed me to be successful as a chemical engineer with the United States Navy. I aim to witness similar results from my students. I enjoy a large range of outdoor activities. This includes anything from tennis to skiing to watersports. I'm also very into Numismatics. If I'm fortunate enough to have some downtime, I usually spend it researching mathematical teaching methodology.
